Welcome
Welcome to the website for the University Women's Club of The Ohio State University.
Our Club is celebrating its 114th year. The Club is over 300 members strong, and has existed since 1895 when Flavia Canfield, the wife of president James Canfield, gathered together a group of 60 women and formed what would become the University Women's Club.
We have 20 Interest Groups, widely diverse, designed around the interests of our members throughout the history of our Club.
We have monthly Club meetings at the Faculty Club with speakers and delicious luncheons.
We are a part of the Association of Big 10 University Women's Clubs and actively participate in the rotating conferences held every two years. Our turn to host will be 2015. This year the conference was held in Madison, Wisconsin. Four representatives from our Club attended. You can find Marba Wojcicki's report on the Conference at the Conference Reports link.
We have a thrift shop, Buckeye Bargains, which provides a large proportion of the funds donated or raised annually for scholarships that the Club supports. The shop is open on Wednesdays from 9:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. during Fall, Winter and Spring quarters, when classes are in session. It is closed in Summer. Be sure to check out the Buckeye Bargains link!
Our website is entering its 9th year. We hope you find it informative and easily navigated.
Welcome, and GO BUCKS!
