Service to Others
Our members believe in Service, and show it in many ways. One of the most visible is through Buckeye Bargains, our thrift shop on Campus. Located in the NW basement of Converse Hall, 2121 Tuttle Park Place, Buckeye Bargains is the major engine for generating funds for our endowed scholarship funds. Open for sales every Wednesday while classes are in session, and readied for sales the day before, the ladies of Buckeye Bargains would love to have your help, your donations of items (they're tax deductible) or your money when you shop!
Our Endowed Scholarships: The University Women's Club Scholarship Fund of Ohio State, #605431, and the University Women's Club Scholarship Fund in memory of Marjorie K. Fawcett, #602129, are administered through the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Our Music group sponsors a scholarship fund for women undergraduate Music majors in the memory of Nina Weigel, the wife of Chairman of the College of Music, #607632. It, too, is administered through the the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Our Toymakers have made toys for the University hospitals and other agencies since 1936. The toys they make can go through CT scans, MRIs...wherever children need to take them. They also comfort little ones in other places than in diagnostic labs. They are always looking for new ideas and new hands to help construct their toys. Will your hands be two of them?
