President Elect 2011-2012
Antoinette Beynen is the 2011-2012 President Elect.
The position of President Elect is the beginning of a 3 year commitment - the first year as President Elect; the second year as President; the third year as Current Past President. All three are Executive Committee positions.
The President Elect watches for any deaths that occur within the membership; she takes care of the "Book of Remembrance" and sees that the calligrapher makes the appropriate updates. She takes the year to familiarize herself with the workings of the Club and acquaints with not only her duties, but the duties of the other officers. And, she should be ready to step into the position of President should it become necessary.
Should the position of President Elect become vacant, the Nominating Committee shall make a recommendation for a successor and this choice shall be presented at the next general meeting of the Club or a mail ballot may be taken. The UWC Bylaws. Article IV, Officers. Section 7: Filling Vacancies
